It is more likely than not these days to find yourself stressed or anxious. Work, relationships, money, health and just trying to juggle all of the things is enough to make anyone anxious. Am I doing enough? Being enough? We live in a fallen world much different than the way that the Lord intended when He created it.
But friends! The Lord knew and He made a way! Our Heavenly Father sent Jesus to be our redemption and he died so that we might have peace in this life and forevermore in Him. His word says that His peace is not as the world gives, but better. I have often felt that if I am casting my cares on the Lord, then I am ignoring important issues that I need to deal with, or that I am neglecting what I should be caring about. But this is quite the opposite!!
When we place our biggest obstacles and fears in the hands of our loving Father, He is more than capable of relieving us of those anxieties and providing for our every need.

It breaks God’s heart to see you stressed! If you find yourself stressing about a specific situation, seek out what God’s word says about it and keep those bible verses about stress at the top of your mind and where you will see them throughout the day.
Pause and take some time to breathe, relax your body, and focus on these bible scriptures on stress and meditate on them until you feel the peace of God and the presence of God. As Colossians says, set your mind on things above and not on the things of this world. This is so important for us to do as we are constantly bombarded with the worries of this world.
God has provided for our every need and gave us His word to speak into every situation! He is a healer, a provider, a restorer, and a friend! More than anything He longs to see us in perfect peace, comforted by His love, and provided for with everything we need for life!

Anxiety is nothing but fear with a fancy name. It is the opposite of peace and as believers, it has no place in our lives! We can all be guilty of letting anxiety creep in and take root in places in our hearts, but the Lord wants us free from all fear and anxiety!
In fact, he says in His word that His perfect love casts out all fear. He is a loving God and wants to see us powerful (full of His power!) and full of joy in life!
2 Timothy 1:7: for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
Psalm 46:10: He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

As children of God, we are called not to worry! The Lord is very specific about His commands in scripture when He says not to worry. That means we have a choice, friends! We are empowered by all of the love that Christ has for us to let go of our anxieties and worries and cast them upon him.

Real peace, a peace that only the Lord gives, is found in Him and His word. Our stresses and anxieties are minimized when we set our hearts and mind on the word of God and the peace it brings! Jesus knew the authority that was given to him by the kingdom of heaven and used that authority to speak peace into every situation he encountered.
He Himself was at times under tremendous stress, and knows what it is like to be fully human! I am so thankful that He understands the stress and anxiety that can overwhelm us on the earth, and even more thankful that He has overcome the world!
