The home we live in now is more than we dreamed of and the story behind how we got it is one of those stories where you are like only God could have done that! So when decorating our living room, I knew I wanted to incorporate a scripture that would remind me every time I read it that this home was a gift from the Lord.
If you’re feeling stressed or anxious about anything at all, take some time today and meditate on these verses and cast your cares on the Lord. Tell him about your troubles and have faith that He hears and has made a way where there is no way. Stay in that mindset and pray until you can feel the presence of God and until you feel His peace. Repeat daily or as needed. ❤️
For me, it is the last thing I see before I shut my eyes and the first thing I see when I wake up (other than my husband haha!) Our phones are our greatest tools, and I definitely think it is all about how we use them! I can get endlessly sucked into scrolling through all the things, or I can be productive for work and home or for my personal goals. For me, my phone is how I stay in the Word of God most of the time also! My bible app, blogs, and emails all help me keep the life-giving encouraging Word of God right where I see it most during the week! Blake and I love creating beautiful graphics and also love being able to offer them to you guys for free. We are constantly thinking of beautiful ways to share encouragement in ways that are easy to use for busy people like us! These Christian backgrounds for your phone are a perfect way to keep scriptures right where you can see them.
If you are struggling to change your habits or shortcomings, don’t focus on yourself and where you have fallen short, but rather strive to renew your mind to who you are in Christ – a new creation! You are righteous and holy in His sight through Christ. Our Heavenly Father gave His own Son so that we would be changed from our sinful nature and renewed to His glory and His righteousness. Living by the Spirit of God brings life and peace, but living by our own methods brings destruction.
