Let Men Their Songs Employ
The Lord is worthy of all our praise. Not only does our praise bless the Lord, but it also blesses our own soul. Psalm 103 starts out with David telling His soul to bless the Lord, praising the Lord and reminding himself of the goodness of God. He goes on to remind himself not to forget the Lord's benefits: who forgives all your sins, who heals you from all your diseases, redeems your life from the pit, and crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercies. We have so much to sing about and proclaim just how good God is, but often we forget with the clutter of this world. Singing, giving thanks is a tool we have as children of God to bring joy at any moment of the day. Jesus came so that we could partake of all the benefits in Psalm 103, and we shall proclaim the good tidings of His salvation so that we never forget!
