Who we are in Christ is foundational
Who we are in Christ is one of the most foundational truths we can establish our hearts in. Paul says in Galatians 2:20," I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." As a christian, we are not our own anymore ( 1 Corinthians 6:19); we are new creations and have the spirit of God living in us. Reading these truths reveals how important is it to dive into the Word of God and find out as new creations who Christ is in us and how to walk that out.
Renewing our Minds
It's so easy to look at our flesh and surroundings to tell us who we are, but Paul said he lived by the faith of the Son of God because Christ lived in Him. He was so convinced of who he was In Christ that it overshadowed anything in the flesh, and He relied on the faith and strength of the Holy Spirit inside him to walk out his race here on earth. Basically, Paul had renewed His mind and set his heart on things above. We can do the same! We can look at the Word of God as a mirror to see who we are in the spirit, and renew our minds to think what God thinks instead of how the world thinks.
In Christ collection
This collection has many In Christ scriptures, and I hope one or several stand out to you and serve as a daily reminder of who you are in Christ and His spirit within you. A friend of ours once said, "Most think it is impressive for other Christians to know a ton of scriptures, but the Christian who knows just one scripture and believes it with all their heart will bear more fruit than the one who knows many but has yet to believe them in his heart." I mention that to encourage you to take one or two of these scriptures to dive in and meditate on and ask the Lord to reveal the mystery of His Spirit living in you like never before.
