Feeding on His Faithfulness

Feeding on His Faithfulness

I want to start by saying how incredibly thankful we are for you.
Ten years ago, this was just a hobby for me. I was a wife and mom with a creative outlet and a deep desire for our home to mean more than just beautiful décor. I had no idea that God would take the small desires of my heart and turn them into what Rooted + Grounded has become today.

God used what was in my hand to move our family to a new state, plant us in a church that felt like home the moment we walked through the doors, and give my husband and me the gift of working together. (Yes, we truly love that part!)

Of course, there are days when Rooted + Grounded comes with the normal headaches of any business. But then there are the moments I pause, look around, and realize what a gift it is to play even a small part in putting God’s Word into other people’s homes. That never gets old.

It is still such a joy to create something new and see that very first order come in, or to step out and write something that has been stirring in my heart, like our Kids’ Devotion and the Joy to the World Christmas Devotion this year. Those were both big leaps of faith, but ones I truly felt God nudging me to take.

Trusting and Feeding on His Faithfulness

One of my favorite verses is Psalm 37:3:

“Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and feed on His faithfulness.”

That phrase, feed on His faithfulness, has always meant so much to me. It reminds me that God’s past goodness is meant to sustain us in the present. To feed on His faithfulness is to take in His goodness until it becomes part of who we are. It is to recall His provision, His peace, and His promises so often that our trust in Him grows naturally.

When we stop to remember all the ways God has provided, guided, and redeemed, it becomes easier to trust Him again for today. His faithfulness is not just something we recall from the past; it is something we live on right now. It is our nourishment when things are uncertain and our anchor when life feels heavy.

I could write for hours about the ways God has proven Himself faithful through every season of this journey. But what I want you to know most is this: you are a part of His faithfulness to our family. Every order, every prayer, every kind word of encouragement has been a reminder of the dream He planted in me years ago.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of this story and for letting us be a small part of yours.

What if one simple act of courage changed the world? On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the church door in Wittenberg. His conviction to return to the simple gospel led to a...
