Let Earth Receive Her King
The invitation to receive Christ was to the whole earth. Initially, the message of the kingdom was just for the nation of Israel, but after Christ was resurrected, He told the disciples to “go into all the world” and preach the gospel. Because of Christ’s obedience to the death of the cross, the forgiveness of sins is freely proclaimed to anyone who will believe and receive it. We are no longer in a place of trying to access God through our performance! God has provided the perfect sacrifice; all that a person must do now is “receive their King”! What a wonderful message and a reminder to those of us who have already received Him. It was God who initiated this great gift, not us.
