I hadn’t tried this one before researching this blog, but I’m glad I did because it’s such a cool Bible study app! As a busy mom, I multi-task a lot and love listening to scripture and podcasts. I will definitely be using this app to get my Bible reading in as I am going throughout my day. I love that you can mix in music with the scripture and set a repeat function to listen over and over again.

3. YouVersion
This is the Bible study app that I personally use the most. I love the variety of translations and versions of the Bible this version offers, and it makes it very easy to highlight and bookmark verses for later. It is also easy to export a verse to share on social media or copy to use it later. There are tons of reading plans available and it is easy to connect with friends to read through the same Bible reading plans together.

This is another great, simple Bible study app that has lots of available resources at your fingertips. I love the clean looking interface, which allows for few distractions while you're reading, but also keeps it easy to get to the other resources. This has a great "lookup" feature that is easy to use as you are reading along in the Bible, and shows you related verses for easy cross-study.

This is such a beautifully designed app! I love it when useful things are beautiful too. I loved scrolling through the lock screens available for download and also that this Bible study app has a notes screen which makes it easy to browse all of the notes that you have made. Like other Bible apps, there are many reading plans to download and the entire app is geared toward women reading the Word of God.

My very favorite part of this Bible study app is the ability to highlight a word and immediately be shown the original language root word in a pop up window. That makes it so easy to learn context quickly and keep reading the Bible! That is so wonderful to have when in other apps you may have to dig a little deeper to find what you are looking for. Overall this is a great useful app with a clean and user-friendly interface. A great tool in your Bible-study toolkit!

This is a new Bible study app by YouVersion, just for kids. I wanted to make sure to include a couple of kids apps here, because they are phone and tablet users too! This is a great interactive app with stories and questions and games that reinforce the Bible story that they are learning. This Bible app has great reviews and beautiful illustrations and games that your kids will love!

After doing a little research on what will work best for me, I am definitely excited to have some new Bible study apps on my phone ready for when I have a moment of quiet time to spend with the Lord.
